Due to the proximity of Chichen Itza, it is believed that there is electromagnetic interference in the area of Cenote IK KIL, which significantly hinders the flight of drones.

This situation, combined with concerns for the safety of our visitors, has led to the implementation of a policy prohibiting the use of drones in the cenote.

You will find clear signage throughout the park indicating this restriction. The drone ban is an essential precautionary measure to prevent accidents, as a falling drone could cause injuries to visitors.

Cenote IK KIL welcomes you every day of the year, including holidays like Christmas and New Year’s, offering a magical experience regardless of the season.

The cenote is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of the cenote during these hours. To ensure an optimal and sustainable experience for all our visitors, a maximum stay of 2 hours on the premises has been established.

There are two diving platforms

One of the main attractions of Cenote IK KIl is without a doubt jumping from any of the two platforms found in the cenote.

The platforms are approximately 17 and 14 ft high, the height may vary slightly due to the water level.
